Ford’s Fiesta is following in the footsteps of its larger brother – the Focus – by offering an ST performance version. According to Autocar, the Fiesta ST will use an EcoBoosted version of its 1.6L inline-four, which is reportedly good for 180 HP. That power will then go through a six-speed manual transmission to the front wheels. Also on tap for the Fiesta will be revised suspension geometry, new brakes, and new bits for the exterior and interior.
The Fiesta ST is expected to be introduced in Europe by the end of 2012. No word whether the ST will make the Atlantic crossing.
