2013 Mustang Teased Just Before Official Unveiling

On Tuesday, November 15th 2011 Ford will unveil the new 2013 Mustang just before its official debut press conference at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. Cosmetic changes, technology and power upgrades are expected to grace the entire lineup from the basic V6 to the juggernaut GT500. The Blue Oval even went on to tease its fans on Facebook with the photo collage you see before you.

As evident from recent spy photos, the front grille of the updated model will be slightly rounded off, the dimensions of the top grille will grow, and the bottom grille will shrink. The circular grille mounted fog lamps have been removed for newer revised fog lamps with LED lighting.

The headlamps will also be paired with LED lighting while the overall design will receive a slight tweak, again as evident from the photos. For the back end, the tail lights now run straight across the back as opposed to angling towards the front like the previous years.

We haven’t heard much about performance improvements, but we’ve been told that we’ll be “surprised by some improvements at the top of the line model”.
