The Ford Fiesta RS WRC rally car is a heavily modified all-wheel-drive monster that was built by Ford’s World Rally Team and M-sport to compete in the WRC. However, despite all the high jumps and hairpin turns, it seems the only obstacle for this Rally car is the competition. Citroen victoriously taking the title last season home definitely sent a message to Ford Rally Team for a change. Luckily, Ford has something up there sleeve for the upcoming season.
Ford’s new Fiesta RS, which was released at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham, England, will be representing Ford through the finish line for the new season. Castrol will be sticking by Ford once again as their main sponsor, and will be driven by the WRC’s youngest rally winner and 5 time rally champion, Jarri Latvala with co-driver Miika Anttila. They will be partnered by Peter Solberg and Chris Patterson. Solberg has outstanding experience having 13 Rally wins. Can Ford beat Citroen this upcoming season once and for all? We’d like to think so.
