The drag strip terror that is the Mustang Cobra Jet needs no introduction. The 50-unit limited-production machine recently underwent two days of testing at the Palm Beach International Raceway, with engineers evaluating both the naturally-aspirated as well as the supercharged 5.0 engine combinations. From the looks of the ‘Stang’s performance in the video, it seems ready to hit the strip:
Besides the updates to the engine, the 2013 Cobra Jet will feature an electric steering rack, high back racing seats, and those wickedly-awesome Cobra Jet graphics. Look for the $85,000+ jet in the summer of 2012.
