Ford India is recalling 166,021 of its highly-popular Figo and last-generation Fiesta (now known as Classic) models due to potential issues with the vehicles’ power steering hose and rear twist beam. Potentially-affected vehicles were manufactured between January 2010 and June 2012, and fall under the following sales timeframes:
- Models sold between January 2011 and June 2012 for the rear twist beam
- Models sold between January and August 2010 as well as between March and November 2011 for the Power Assisted Steering
Ford stated that it has begun contacting owners of the possibly-affected vehicles, and that its dealers will diagnose the models and replace parts as appropriate. The Blue Oval also added that it hasn’t received reports of any issues related to the recall.
The car looks so much like a Ford SX Territory (Australian).
Matt — the Ford Classic looks like the Territory to you? That’s interesting, since one is a teensy last-generation subcompact car and the other is a midsize CUV 😉
The front looks exactly like a Ford SX Territory. The Ford Ecosport looks exactly like a SZ Territory… although I think Ford Australia designed the Ecosport too.
