Yes, Ford’s F-150 SVT Raptor is one awesome and capable truck. It can do many things other trucks only dream of doing, and it looks good while doing those things. But that doesn’t mean that owners (or worse yet, drivers who are not owners) should expect the Raptor to go anywhere and do anything, as this video clearly shows:
The problem is that the driver takes the jump at a speed that is astoundingly high — sending the Raptor to a stratospheric height. The driver is solely to blame for that, since just because the road leading up to the jump is long doesn’t mean all of it should be used, especially at wide-open-throttle. The results aren’t pretty: (at least) one flat tire, deployed airbags, a dislodged tailgate… and that’s only what’s visible on the outside, as we’re fairly certain that there’s some suspension and frame damage lurking underneath that beautiful (yet damaged) exterior.
