Fans of Ford’s One Ford global vehicle strategy can now add Hong Kong to the list of cities served by the all-new second-generation Transit Connect Taxi.
For the Hong Kong market, the Transit Connect is equipped with a Ford-engineered Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) fuel system that allows the 2014 model year taxi to utilize the city’s well-established LPG infrastructure — thereby delivering a clean-burning, dependable, low maintenance and long-range method of transporting customers. Sipping the Liquefied Petroleum is a new 2.5 liter four cylinder engine mated to an equally-new and fuel-efficient six-speed automatic transmission that, according to Ford, provides drivers with quick response as well as durability, low-rpm cruising and an expected best-in-class highway fuel economy rating.
Hong Kong joins a growing list of cities around the world, including New York City, Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles, where taxi operators choose the Transit Connect Taxi.
