Ford To Boost Annual Production To 8 Million Vehicles By 2015

Ford Motor Company Hau Thai-Tang, group vice president, global purchasing recently announced that the automaker plans to increase global production output from about 5.7 million vehicles per year currently to roughly 8 million by 2015.

The news comes on heels of other operations-related news from Ford, including plans to trim its supplier base by roughly 40% and to rack up over over $100 billion in expenses in 2013.

The Motrolix Take

The result of growing demand for its vehicles, increased production capacity is itself the culmination of making class-leading global vehicles sold all over the world. We can’t emphasize this enough: this is proof that the One Ford strategy works, and works extremely well.
