Chalk this one up to an interesting insight: Ford Motor Company recently wrote in a press release that it is currently experiencing its largest industrial expansion in over 50 years.
And while the United States, Canada, and most of Europe (especially Europe) isn’t in need of more automotive manufacturing capacity, The Blue Oval anticipates that between 60-70% of its global growth by the year 2020 will take place in the Asia Pacific region — presenting a significant business opportunity for the automaker.
The Motrolix Take
The largest industrial expansion in the last 50 years would mean that The Blue Oval is undergoing its largest growth since the years following its founding in June of 1903. And today, growth for Ford doesn’t only mean that it is growing manufacturing operations, but also that these new capabilities will be conducted in state-of-the-art facilities that are efficient and environmentally-friendly.
Here’s to sustained and profitable growth for Ford now and well into the future.
