When the “world’s largest hands-on showcase of emerging innovation” that is the 2014 Consumer Electronics takes place January 7-10 in Las Vegas, Ford’s all-new 2015 Mustang will be recognized as its “Official Car”.
“Mustang has always been more than just a car, as it reminds us of the freedom and joy that comes from traveling the open road,” said Jim Farley, executive vice president, Ford global marketing, sales and service and Lincoln. “With world-class performance and innovative technologies wrapped in a sleek design, the all-new Ford Mustang puts you in control of the driving experience that suits you best.”
As the Official Car, a Mustang fastback will be present in the Grand Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center, while a Mustang convertible will be present at Ford’s main display in the North Hall. In addition, Ford will host a press conference to debut the all-new pony to the CES audience and to announce new technology features at the show’s opening on Tuesday January 7.
The most technologically-advanced Mustang features more advanced technology than ever before, with the goal of enhancing safety, driving pleasure, and convenience.
The Motrolix Take
Being the “Official Car” of CES isn’t really a huge title or achievement, and doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. Rather, we’re more interested in what technology Ford will announce during its keynote come January 7. We’re predicting integrated internet connectivity and burnout control functionality, and hope for even more high-tech options (for those who want it) in the new pony.
