Yes, the 2015 Mustang GT sounds absolutely phenomenal. This is seemingly the case at any point — be it start-up, idle, or while revving. The rumbly notes aren’t a far departure from those heard on the 2011-2014 GT, which makes sense given that the new sixth-generation pony also sports Ford’s 5.0 liter ‘Coyote’ V8 engine that is more or less the same, but features several all-around improvements that help it pump out “more than 420” horsepower and 390 lb.ft. of torque.
