Audi Said To Be Working On New, Quattro-Inspired Design Language

Edmunds.com is reporting that Audi is about to begin a journey towards a brand new design language with a new face and strategy to highlight their Quattro four-wheel drive technology/branding.

As things change for Audi, the cars might perhaps get a more horizontal look to them versus a more vertical emphasis of their other models such as the forthcoming 2015 Audi S8. But, that’s not the only changes Audi is reportedly undergoing.

Their contemporary design impetus is hoped to create more uniqueness among the various models in the Audi company catalogue. Though, as of yet, there has been no word on their launch timing or any other specifics because the design changes are still in development.

One thing is confirmed though: the development of styling focusing on Audi’s long-held Quattro all-wheel-drive advantage. The company created four-wheel drive for mass-market road cars, and has sold compelling amounts of high-performance models utilizing the Quattro advantage, which draw on the original 1979 Audi Quattro Coupe.

Yet, they are hard to see beyond seeing them up close. But, one thing is for certain in the future though: Audi plans to make the Quattro their focal point in the future, and hope to zoom in on its effectiveness with a muscular styling.
