Behold Audi’s Super Bowl XLVIII commercial. Entitled “Doberhuahua” and previewed last week, the 60-second ad features the all-new 2015 A3 as well as the never-before-seen Doberhuahua creature. The spot will air on February 2 during the first in-game break after the 3rd quarter kickoff. Watch:
As it turns out, Doberhuahua is the result of a young couple’s search for the perfect dog. When they can’t agree on which breed to choose — a cute and cuddly Chihuahua, or a big and bold Doberman Pinshcer — the pet store owner suggest that the couple compromise by blending the two breeds. Shortly after, Doberhuahua quickly takes over the city, wreaking havoc, and leaving everything chaos in its wake.

In effect, the commercial is a comical take showing the world “the frightening consequences of bringing compromise into the world”.
“Compromise scares us too,” says Audi at the end of the ad with the #StayUncompromised hashtag being displayed at the end.
Doberhuahua was created by San Francisco-based Venables Bell & Partners and directed by acclaimed Noam Murro. The ad follows a host of popular and entertaining Super Bowl spots from Audi.
