Ford Produces 1 Millionth Current-Generation Focus In Europe

Ford recently rolled out its 1 millionth current-generation Focus in Europe from its plant in plant located in Saarlovis, Germany. The 1 millionth Focus in question is a candy red five-door hatch equipped with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine. Currently, Ford builds one Focus at a rate of every 1.5 minutes in Europe.

The Ford Focus was added to the company’s growing catalog of vehicles  in 1998 and it made its appearance in Europe in 2010. According to a Ford analysis of the latest Polk global vehicle registration data for the first half of 2013, the Focus is the best selling vehicle in the world.
