Top Gear fans all over the globe are rife with joy this week, as the world’s most popular motoring show winds up for its 21st series. Last week, the TG guys teased us with some rather uneventful trailers of them driving a Volkswagen Up!, Ford Fiesta and a Dacia Sandero. Now, with less than a week away until the series premiere, the BBC has released a new trailer showing a little more action.
The new series will feature an array of interesting vehicles including the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6, Zenvo ST1, Alfa Romeo 4C and a Volkswagen Golf, which Jeremy drives in a “rally” stage through a supermarket.
The shows producer, Andy Wilman, told the The Telegraph that although the new series will show the presenters in a more mature physical state, it would not “grow up” in content. He also added “almost everything we’d filmed was, once again, aimed at people with a mental age of nine,” which to us means the series will be just perfect.
Top Gear will return to BBC2 on February 2. In the mean time, check out the extended trailer below.
