1957 250 Ferrari Testa Rossa Sells For Nearly $40 Million In United Kingdom

For some, money is not an object. We’re not one of those people. But if you’re an elusive, exotic car collector, you just might be. And what better way to liquidate millions and millions, and millions of your money than by purchasing a 1957 Ferrari Testa Rossa? We can’t think of any.

Making it the most expensive sold in the United Kingdom, the rather breathtaking Ferrari (pictured above) sold for $39.8 million. That is about 28 LaFerraris or about 128 F12 Berlinettas, or about 15,600 Tata Nanos. It aggressively animates how much some people will pay for cars but that’s not the only car to sell for that high. There have been others. Just not this astronomical.

For starters in 2009, a 1961 250 GT California Spyder sold for about $12.2 million. The reason for its high price is the great provenance the car brings to the road. Yet, the trends continue.

In 2011, a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa sold for approximately $16.39 million. Even in 2012, there was a nail biter of a price tag with a 1964 250 GTO, which sold for about $32 million. So, believe friends, because demand for these cars is so high these days with everyone wanting to impress the royal Jones’ at the latest concourse d’elegance with these garage queen titans. And why shouldn’t they?
