Bug-Eyed Subaru WRX Rescues Police Car From Michigan Snow

If you thought the Subaru WRX is the Swiss army knife of cars, you wouldn’t find an argument from us. From a car dependable in all weather conditions and a suitable daily driver, to a grippy, grunty performance vehicle not afraid of making a home on the tarmac, the “Rex” ticks all the boxes.

For you WRX-owners and lovers out there, you can now add ‘dragging police cars out of the snow’ to the list.

Captured on film, a tuned WRX comes to the rescue, pulling a Hemi V8, rear-wheel-drive Dodge Charger squad car out of the Michigan snow; Hazel Park to be specific. We’re sure the cop enjoys the deep bellow of his Dodge Charger; however, fans of any car make would be hard-pressed not to smile at the raspy chunder of a modified boxer engine.

As an aside, the bug-eyed WRX was one of the most iconic, and one of my favorite, models Subaru produced. You can see the video of one man’s commitment to community service below. Maybe now the cops will think twice about writing WRX drivers tickets. Because as it turns out, we know the guy.
