Porsche dealers delivered 3,096 new Porsches in January 2014, a 7.8 percent decline compared to the strong results seen in January 2013.
Porsche attributes the drop to inclement weather in major markets as well as to an extremely low inventory of its best-selling model (perhaps not for long) — the Cayenne midsize sport crossover. Production of the Cayenne will be ramped up “in the coming months”, according to Porsche.
In addition, Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sales came in at 822 for the month.
