What A Tesla Looks Like With $75,000 In Upgrades: Video

Two-hundred thousand dollars can buy plenty of things but, if a Tesla built to Rolls-Royce-like standards isn’t one of them, perhaps you best think again. Welcome to the latest creation of California’s Al & Ed’s Autosound; seriously upgraded Tesla Model S. Straight from West Hollywood, it is available with a multitude of unique touches and niceties.

Al and Ed began with a Tesla Model S P85, which is also known as the Model S Performance, a model that comes with an 85 kWh battery and a 416 hp motor (over 100 more than the base Model S). But they didn’t stop there, ordering their Model S Performance with every available option including the Performance Plus package, which turns it into a P85+ and “adds world-class handling … while also improving range.” A Tesla like will be pushing $120,000—that’s more than $30k worth of options.

Then Al and Ed went to work. Let’s start with a brand-new set of 21 inch “Ghost Gold” forged wheels that costs an impressive $7,500, a specially manufactured carbon fiber body kit priced at $5,250, and an affectionately named “Audiophile” sound system upgrade which will lighten your wallet another 10 grand. Finally, if you choose to be immersed in total luxury, Al and Ed can completely rework the interior for $25,000.

Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, this pedestrian Model S is now a one-of-a-kind electric luxury machine, adding accoutrements and amenities plus an air of exclusivity to an already outstanding vehicle. In this case, exclusivity costs $205,820. With $75,000 worth of extras, Al and Ed’s Autosound Tesla is one impressive vehicle; however, with the money you save, you could by something a bit more meaningful like a 911 Carrera. We also wonder how Elon Musk would feel about this.
