No matter how you look at it, the all-new 2015 Ford F-150 is shaping up to me on great pickup truck. From its powerful and efficient lineup of engines and weight-saving aluminum body to the attractive exterior design, quality-laden interior, and abundant technology, the truck’s various strengths and trend-setting direction are hard to knock.
Coincidentally, that’s exactly what Ford Motor Company COO Mark Fields believes, as he recently highlighted that the new F-150 is both tough and smart:
“F-150 is well-known for being Built Ford Tough. Now, it is both tough and smart,” said Mark Fields, Ford Motor Company chief operating officer, in a press release from the Blue Oval. “The all-new F-150 redefines the future of trucks, and it is yet another example of our One Ford plan producing vehicles that serve customers with a commitment to the very best quality, fuel efficiency, safety, smart design and value.”
That said, the various innovations seen on the new F-150 are not without drawbacks. But in our opinion, the few downsides are mostly short-term obstacles, rather than long-term show-stoppers — and Ford’s ability to be bold and think outside the box will pay pay off sooner rather than later.
