Ford Joint Venture Begins Producing Two New Vans In New Facility In Turkey

Ford Motor Company, in conjunction with its Turkey-based joint venture Koç Holding, has begun producing two vans at a new manufacturing facility in Yeniköy, Turkey. The move marks another step in The Blue Oval’s push for international expansion, and the opening of the third Ford Otosan joint venture facility.

The two vans being produced at the all-new and modern facility are the Ford Transit Courier, Ford’s smallest commercial vehicle, and the Ford Tourneo Courier, an entry level people-mover.

The new 70,000-square meter facility is capable of building 110,000 vehicles a year. It is located in proximity to Ford Otosan’s existing Kocaeli vehicle assembly plant and utilizes the same advanced and environmentally-friendly production techniques that Ford has in place across its global production facilities. The vehicles built at the facility will be sold in 46 countries.
