Audi Shows Off Refreshed 2015/2016 RS 7 For European Market

Audi is having another go at making its midsize four-door coupe even better, which is already enjoying high acclaim. So for what is expected to be the 2015 or 2016 model-year, the new RS 7 has been revealed in Europe. And it’s a thing of beauty, if you ask us.

The content under the hood of the 2015 RS7 has not changed, as the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine still produces a walloping 560 bhp and 516 pound-feet of torque. But now, those ponies are allowed to gallop all the way to 190 miles per hour instead of 174 miles per hour. It’s also been announced that buyers can now select a sport differential for the rear axle, adaptive dampers, dynamic steering, carbon-ceramic brakes, and 21-inch wheels to match.

With such powerful car with such heritage in its drivetrain, there’s something special about having the word “Quattro” appearing on the front grill for others to admire. It also has new Matrix LED headlights. The paddle shifters have been redesigned, as well as the air conditioning vents. But the car is more than about power delivered to all four wheels, as the RS7 also sports 4G LTE connectivity and a Bang & Olufsen sound system, both of which you get in the A7 and S7.

For now, Audi has only announced this updated RS7 for the European market, but we expect that the American-spec model will soon to follow. When that happens, make sure to check back with us for updates on pricing and on-sale dates.
