We’ve already provided this recording of how the 2015 Ford Mustang will sound under full acceleration. But that’s not the complete story of what the driver and passengers will hear while in the pony.
As with the fifth-generation S197 Mustang, the 2015 “S550” pony will feature an induction tube that will bring the engine/exhaust note into the cabin. The difference is that Ford has redesigned the induction sound tube for the 2015 Mustang.
The induction tube matches the beat of the exhaust note for note, playing directly into the cabin. In addition, the tube will be more centrally placed in the 2015 pony, making for a more natural balance.
We can’t wait to drive the new pony and hear its various rumblings for ourselves. For now, we can only listen to the engine and exhaust symphony of the 2015 Mustang GT and the roar of the upcoming GT350.
