Ford China Sales Up 17 Percent To 87,783 Units In June 2014

Ford China continued to win over customers in China, selling 87,783 vehicles in June 2014 — up 17 percent from the same period last year.

Changan Ford (CAF), Ford’s passenger car joint venture in the country, recorded 67,187 sales, up 23 percent compared to 54,774 sold in June 2013. The usual suspects remained the star performers for the month, including:

  • Focus — up 7 percent with 33,614 units sold
  • Mondeo (Fusion) — up 168 percent with 10,044 units sold
  • Kuga (Escape) — up 18 percent with 10,901 units sold
  • EcoSport — up 28 percent to 7,201 units sold

In addition, Ford’s commercial vehicle investment in China — Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC), recorded a 19 percent sales growth to 19,012 vehicles sold compared to 16,022 sold in June 2013.
