2015 Porsche Cayman GTS Goes Karting: Video

To demonstrate just how tight and controlled the handling of the new 2015 Cayman GTS is, Porsche has released a video showing the car devour an indoor kart racing track in Northern Italy. Yeah, it’s even cooler than that sounds.

It’s impossible to know how much the audio has been dramatized and doctored in post-production, but if its 340 hp 3.4 liter flat-4 sounds half this good in real life, we would be stoked just to stand behind one. What is evident watching the video is how gracefully the rear end of the car swings out on this track, and how drama-free it appears when it bites back into its line.

Control appears absolutely effortless here, even within the tight curves of the kart track. That the car is so beautifully composed is largely thanks, no doubt, to its rear mid-engine layout, not to mention the engineering precision and practiced suspension-tuning sorcery for which Porsche is known.

The bottom-line is this: if you can watch this video and not lust after the 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS, please seek medical help immediately.
