Ford And Burton Morris Studios Launch Global 2015 Mustang Art Collab

For the first time in the car’s fifty-year history, the Ford Mustang will be exported outside of the United States directly from Ford. The love for the American automotive icon revolves around the universally recognizable pony badge, and Burton Morris is crafting special art pieces to celebrate the global launch.

Through the Mustang Unites program, Morris will paint and sculpt ten unique pony badges with the flag of one of ten countries featuring his signature artistic pop-art style. “No matter where you are in the world, the Mustang pony is one of the most recognizable emblems,” says Elizabeth McKelvey, licensing marketing manager, Ford Global Brand Licensing. “As we celebrate 50 years of Mustang as an iconic sports car, we are marking the milestone with a creative art collaboration representing its debut in international markets.”

Each custom piece will feature a flag from where the 2015 Mustang is currently sold, or where the car will be launching for the first time, and includes the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. In addition to the original sculptures, the Mustang Unites collection will include limited-edition paper and aluminum prints and posters.

For a long time, the 2015 Mustang has been a treat only for the American market. We’re glad other countries will get to experience the fantastic pony car formula that is the Ford Mustang.
