How Would You Take Your 2015 Ford Mustang?

The browser-based configurator for the 2015 Ford Mustang is up, where you can choose the paint color, powertrain, transmission (long live the manual), interior, and accessories that you’d want on your brand new pony car. Notably, even a 2015 Ford Mustang with the EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, it’s very easy to exceed $30,000.

Annoyingly, a lot of the 2015 Ford Mustang features seem interdependent in stupidly unpredictable ways. Just as an example, on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT Premium fastback car, one of the interior trim colors disables the ability to select the cool, gloss black 19 inch wheels. And the selection of just about any wheel besides stock negates the option of having a spare.

As far as we can work out, the 2015 Ford Mustang V6 and the EcoBoost models only allow the options of a black interior, or a black interior. The folks at Ford clearly don’t realize that some people need two-tone interiors to live. We certainly hope that the automaker decides to add some lighter, more vibrant interiors real soon for the 2015 Ford Mustang.

Still, it’s fun to window shop. Your first choice in the 2015 Ford Mustang configurator (after you enter your ZIP) is fastback or convertible, the latter of which adds about $5,500 to the cost immediately. Then you select from five models, from basic V6, to two EcoBoost models, to two GT models, and go about building your dream pony from the ground up.
