Vaughn Gittin Jr Takes His Dog For A Rally In A Fiesta ST: Video

Ford recently put out this ad for the turbocharged Fiesta ST model, featuring Formula D driver Vaughn Gittin Jr. and his dog, Brody.

The duo ignores repeated phone calls from Vaughn’s wife to instead kick dust up on some dirt roads near Vaughn’s house. This has got to be one of the only times that spousal neglect is properly amusing.

We’ve always been floored by the great performance value of Ford’s Fiesta (and Focus) ST, but this takes it to the next level. The car is amazingly poised through sweeping, drifting corners, and the several launches in the video show off just how rigid the suspension really is. Seeing the Fiesta ST caked in mud by the end of the spot only makes us want one all the more, perhaps along with some exquisite off-road trails to play around on. Of course, a lot of the credit goes to Vaughn Gittin Jr. for being a superb driver in a way that we could only dream of.

All-in-all, it’s a very effective ad that should certainly strike a chord with the Fiesta ST’s target audience: young, speed- and adventure-hungry drivers in the market for a budget bargain. Or those who just want to be Vaughn Gittin Jr.

You just look at that dog’s face, and you tell me that rallying isn’t the most pleasurable form of motorsport.
