‘Tis the season. No not that season, auto show season is quickly approaching us, and automotive media followers know what that means: teaser images. Today’s teaser arrives courtesy of Audi, and features a dark overhead view of the upcoming Audi A9 concept vehicle the brand is bringing to the Los Angeles Auto Show. The Audi A9 is expected to introduce a new design language for the brand, as well.
For a few years now, Audi has graced us with clean lines and well sculpted designs. But the design direction arguably has gone a tad stale. This concept looks to breath life into the Four Rings, and should be more revolutionary than evolutionary. The Audi A9 image gives us the first silhouetted glimpse of the LA-bound car. The Audi A9 is also expected to be based on the same platform the Audi A8 rides on, and could very well lead to an halo model, slotting above the full-size sedan. Or perhaps a large coupe.
