A Twin-Engined Volkswagen Jetta With 14 Cylinders Inhabits This Earth: Video

Now here’s a crazy idea if we have ever seen one. Take a very capable Volkswagen Jetta with a VR6 up front, and bolt a stonking W8 engine in the rear. Yep, it exists.

The builder chopped out the rear seats of this Volkswagen Jetta, installed a roll cage, and mounted the extra motor in the rear. To ensure it all actually worked, he linked the throttles together, and both engines run on separate transmissions. A manual transmission allows the owner to work the VR6 in the front, and an automatic tranny shifts the W8 in the rear.

This Jetta is a real sleeper, because the whole exterior is completely stock and doesn’t give any clues as to what is going on inside the car. The only point when someone will realize it’s not your run of the mill VR6 is when they take a peak in the back, or hear this glorious sounding machine. With two transmissions shifting the separate engines, it makes for a choir of harmonic automotive noises.

Make sure to check out the video below to see this incredible build in action, as he shows how capable this  Volkswagen Jetta is ripping through the dirt.
