Audi Teases Prologue Concept: Video

Audi seems to be giving us a taste of what is to come with this most recent teaser image of its possible A9 concept. Recently, a video shows concept peeking it’s front end out, and from what we can tell it looks like Audi will be sharpening its design language quite a bit.

The Audi Prologue is expected to become the styling leader of the brand, and take over the A8’s job as a halo vehicle for the Four Rings if it reaches production. If you couldn’t tell from the large trapezoidal front grille, the concept certainly takes cues from the TT Sportback concept vehicle. Surrounding that in your face front end is a pair of razor like headlights, more aggressive looking than the current Audi A8.

From the car’s silhouette, it seems to be riding on absolutely massive wheels, and expect whatever new design language showcased to be exaggerated for the purpose of the show car. Should it reach production, the Audi A9 will take the cues seen here and water them down to a more conservative, albeit classy, design.

Coming around to the rear, the Audi Prologue concept seems to tuck upwards, rather than offer a hatch like tail seen on the Audi A7. Hopefully no real one will be sitting in the rear of the show car, since the sexy slope that can be seen from the side view surely can’t amount to any head room for an adult human being.

Although we only get a peak of the concept, it does look mighty good overall, and resembles an Audi take on Tesla’s luxurious exterior styling. Have a look at the teaser video accompanied below for your own opinion on the car, and be sure to check back for the unveiling later this month at the Los Angels Auto Show.
