Awesome New Ad Highlights New Ford Mondeo’s Dynamic LED Headlight Tech: Ad Break

There are car commercials… and then there are car commercials. The difference between the two is how engaging, entertaining, and generally enthralling a spot is. And in the case of this new commercial for the new Ford Mondeo (known as the Fusion in North America), those three factors are off the charts.

Created by Rob Cohen, the award-winning director of “The Fast and the Furious”, the 60-second spot shows a remote airfield go into complete darkness when the runway lights fail, making the runway invisible for a small plane coming in for landing. The new Mondeo comes to the rescue, as its driver guides the pilot to a safe landing by racing to illuminate the landing strip with the Mondeo’s new Ford Dynamic LED headlight technology. Watch the James Bond-esque spot for yourself:

“The all-new Mondeo is packed with smart technologies that deliver everyday benefits to our customers, from helping drivers avoid collisions with vehicles and even pedestrians, to making parking simple and hassle free,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford of Europe. “Our customers hopefully won’t need to help land a plane using Ford Dynamic LED headlight technology, but we believe they will appreciate the difference it makes in their daily lives.”

We fully agree with that statement. Now, how about making the fancy Dynamic LED headlights available on the North American-market Mondeo Fusion.

The new spot launched across TV and movie theatres across Europe in the beginning of November 2014, just ahead of the all-new Mondeo going on sale across Europe later this year.
