This wonderful piece of “what the heck did I just see?” comes to us courtesy of the folks over at Jalopnik; The Stig piloting a Porsche 550 Spyder through the snow, with Darth Vader riding shotgun.
“What?!” Yes, you read that right. The video originally appeared on website BangShift.com, and was uploaded by a reader. The aforementioned Canadian gearhead explained: “After receiving roughly 6 inches of snow in the past day here in Saskatoon, Sask. Canada a couple friends and I were on our way to Cabela’s. Last thing we expected to see was a exotic or classic car… Little did we know we would see a Porsche 550 Spyder on our main “cruising” street in Saskatoon. And to top it off it was piloted by non [sic] other than Stig and Darth Vader was riding shotgun.”
Our theory? Well, clearly visible on the hood of the Porsche is a mounted action camera; perhaps a portion of the coming Star Wars Episode VII features a Porsche 550 Spyder, and takes place in Saskatoon, Canada. And features the Stig as a retired bounty hunter/pod racing driver. And stars a reanimated Darth Vader…
