Volkswagen AG has filed a trademark application for the term “Catamount”, Motrolix has exclusively discovered.
Filed on October 8th, 2014 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the application for the word mark was assigned serial number 86417694 and lists four Goods and Services categories, which makes it rather difficult to pint point whether the filing is for an upcoming vehicle, an upcoming feature/part of a vehicle, or something else entirely.
Just what will Volkswagen Catamount end up being? Sound off your predictions in the comments below. Our best guess is that the name will be used for a recreational (sports) rack of some kind, but we could be completely off.
