2016 Audi Q7 Is Ready To Stalk Its Prey Like A Hawk: Video

Audi is planning to bring its 2016 Q7 SUV to the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, but got the publicity ball rolling when it released full details and photos on the car early last week. This week, they’ve released a new video showing us the all-new seven-seater SUV in motion.

A 252 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine will power the base 2016 Q7, while a supercharged gasoline V6 with 333 horsepower will also be on offer, along with a 272 horsepower 3.0-liter TDI V6. To some, the highlight of the model lineup will be a plug-in Q7 e-tron, which uses the 3.0-liter TDI engine in conjunction with an electric motor and a 17.3-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack for improved efficiency.

We can only guess as to what Audi is alluding to with the presence of the hawk in the new Q7 promo video, which we’ve embedded below. Soon after showing a close-up of the hawk’s eye, they show a close-up of the Q7’s sharp head lights. They may be trying to convey that their new Q7 is like a hawk, ready to stalk the Mercedes, BMW and Lexus SUVs of the world. We can’t be sure, all we know is we’ll have more photos and information on the Q7 following its debut in Detroit next month.
