Giving someone a computer, a bit of photoshop knowledge and lots of free time can result in some strange images. Just check out Reddit’s /r/photoshopbattles subreddit if you need proof of that. But today you don’t even have to look that far to discover some weirdness, as we’ve stumbled across a confusing 2015 Q7 pickup rendering by Theophilus Chin.
Regardless of its absurdity, this rendering is actually pretty well done. The pickup’s proportions are correct, and if the Americans didn’t have such a stranglehold on the half-ton pickup market, we’d say it doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility. The 2015 Q7’s platform would likely have to be extended a bit to accomodate a properly sized bed, but other than that, we see no reason why this couldn’t work.
Does that mean Audi is going to do it? No, probably not. The Germans are too preoccupied with other projects to develop such a product, but it’s a fun idea to toy with.
