BMW’s 1-series is beginning to get on in age a bit, but it’s still a formidable foe for Audi and Mercedes-Benz in the compact luxury segment. Audi currently has the advantage though, as their 2015 S3 hatchback is the newest German offering for buyers who want a bit of luxury and a dollop of performance in a small package.
EVO Magazine decided to see how the all-new S3 compares to the proven BMW 135i in the latest episode of their ‘Track Battle’ web series. As the title would suggest, EVO takes the cars out to the race track to see which can post a faster lap time, while also taking into consideration the drivability, comfort and overall fun factor on offer from both cars.
