Porsche Smartwatch Face Released For Android Wear

In the old days, if you wanted to show your fandom for a particular automaker, you had to make due with purchasing tee shirts, jackets, hats, luggage, or if you were particularly daring and committed, a tattoo.

But finally, you can wear your Porsche pride with an accessory costing nothing at all: a Porsche smartwatch face was just released for all compatible Android Wear smartwatches.

Digital Trends reports that the free Porsche smartwatch face can be obtained through Google Play, and it can display on the Asus “ZenWatch,” LG “G Watch” and “G Watch R,” Motorola “Moto 360,” Samsung “Gear Live,” and Sony “Smartwatch 3.” It’s clean and minimalistic in appearance, with the faint outline of a racetrack looming behind the digital time display.

But – and this is the cool part – the racetrack displayed on the Porsche smartwatch face will change based on where the next FIA World Endurance Championship race is held. Porsche says that in this way, they are “synchronizing Porsche fans around the world.”

Oh, we just got that.

The 2015 FIA WEC season starts April 12th at Silverstone. Bring a timepiece.
