How Porsche’s Testing Facility Fine Tunes The 911 GT3: Video

The assembly line, which Henry Ford is credited with creating, has come so far over the last century. To whit, the concept has made significant improvements in quality, automation, productivity, process, and so much more. All in all, the manufacturing process has become a blend of technological precision and human finesse that creates some amazing machinery in the most incredible ways, particularly for the Porsche 911 GT3.

The video below gives us a glimpse of the facility that performs the final testing and inspection of the Porsche 911 GT3 before the high-performance sports car gets shipped to dealers and customers. We see the GT3 put through a handful of tests and tweaks, including what seems to be equipment to test battery voltage to ensure the vehicle is properly charged for delivery. The car then moves along the test facility’s line to the next stage, where a gentleman tweaks suspension bits guided by a computer, which shows the effects of his works on the car.

After that, the 911 GT3 makes a few more pitstops around the facility for a few more checkups before a lucky worker drives it out of the facility to prepare it for shipment to its new owners.

Check out the video below to get an idea of what goes on before a 911 GT3 is shipped and into the hands of eager customers:
