Watch A 2,000-Horsepower Lamborghini Gallardo Crash Into A Lake: Video

Here’s a good example of how not to treat the throttle of a Lamborghini Gallardo.

In doing some straightaway runs at what appears to be a Lamborghini event, the driver of this Gallardo manages to successfully launch the 2,000-horsepower exotic supercar and appears to be having a great time driving down the straight road. But that’s when he mashes the accelerator, which causes him to lose control and slide into a lake (or a giant puddle), necessitating a tow truck to get out.

You may have noticed from the video that the Gallardo is also missing its rear bumper before ending up in the lake. That’s because the driver reportedly lost the part in an accident the day prior while hooning about.

Is seems that the amount of mishaps involving Lamborghinis has increased since the Huracán crashed and burned on the M7 highway in Hungary, and we hope that the epidemic stops soon, because we can’t stand seeing these beautiful machines be destroyed. Fortunately in this case, the driver and the car were on a closed course and will live to see another day. And we’re optimistic that this particular driver learns from the first two incidents.
