Adidas Giving Porsche 911 Carreras To Three Fastest NFL Combine Athletes

In a clever attempt to woo new talent into sponsorship deals, Adidas is promising Porsche 911 Carreras to the fastest three runners in the 40-yard dash, at the NFL Scouting Combine.

But there is a catch; those wanting to secure themselves one of the Porsche 911 Carreras up for grabs have to first sign with Adidas.

ESPN reports that last year, Adidas made a similar attempt to giving $100,000 to the fastest 40-yard dasher wearing Adidas cleats. The prize went to Oregon State wide receiver Brandin Cooks… who took the money, and then promptly signed with rival Nike when he was drafted to the New Orleans Saints. He then presumably bought himself a Porsche.

The three, approximately $83,000 Porsche 911 Carreras being given away by the athletic outfitter are all wrapped with special cheetah graphics, meant to match Adidas’ new Adizero 5-Star cleats. We rather hope that leaving the vinyl graphics on the car isn’t one of the conditions of being awarded one; if you saw that car at a red light, could you stifle your laughter?
