Audi Quattro Sets Record At Inaugural Goodwood Bonhams Auction

A pristine 1985 Audi Quattro sold for 395,000 euros (over $430,000 USD) at the inaugural Bonham’s auction at the 73rd Goodwood Member’s Meeting this past weekend, setting a record for the auction company.

The Quattro sold at Bonhams was extremely well kept and is believed to be one of just six Quattros originally imported into the UK with a MPH speedometer. The car has had just three total owners (now four) who have collectively driven it just over 24,000 miles in its 30-year life span. The car was also recently just restored and underwent a complete engine and suspension rebuild, in addition to other overhauls and upgrades.

A 1984 Sport Quattro similar to the example sold at Bonhams, except with fewer miles, was recently auctioned off by RM for $401,500. The Bonhams event was also the site of other high value Audi trades, including the sale of Hannu Mikkola and Arne Hertz’s 1982 Audi Quattro A1 Group B Rally Car for 346,2189 euros ($378,988 US).
