The New 2015 Saleen 302 Black Label Mustang Is One Omnipotent Horsey

Awhile back, the wizards at Saleen Automotive let leak some info about a particularly potent prancing horse they had hidden up their sleeve: the Saleen 302, based on the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. It would come in three flavors, they said: White Label, Yellow Label, and Black Label. The former would remain normally-aspirated, and put out 435 HP, while the latter two would be supercharged to 640 HP, they said.

Well, Saleen lied.

The 2015 Saleen 302 Black Label was revealed recently, and according to Autoblog, it puts out a total of 730 HP. Saleen Automotive asserts that it is the most powerful, refined, and advanced Mustang they have ever built.

The Saleen 302 Black Label further benefits from air induction, a redesigned rear fascia with integrated exhaust, an upgraded suspension, leather and Alcantara seat outfitting, etc. Oh, and all three levels of 2015 Saleen 302 have seen an increase in downforce thanks to a body that’s been extended one inch in front, and two in the back, plus a decklid spoiler. 275-section tires keep the car glued, while 15-inch brake rotors haul it to a stop.

How much does all this supercar performance cost? That’s the best news of all; the 2015 Saleen 302 Black Label is marked at $73,214. That’s not exactly cheap, to be sure, but next to the less-powerful competition, it’s easily worth every last penny.
