2016 Ford F-Series Super Duty Trucks Come With Optional Warning Strobes

The 2016 Ford F-Series Super Duty line of trucks will ship with somewhat less aluminum than on the 2015 F-150 – more out of an appreciation for the requisites of the job, than anything.

And that’s sort of what keeps the Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks selling at a healthy clip: an understanding of what the truck will be tasked with throughout its lifetime. In the same vein, Ford has announced that every F-Series Super Duty model in the lineup will come with optional LED warning strobe lights.

This factory LED strobe warning light system will undoubtedly be a popular option among customers of the Ford F-Series Super Duty, since the list of customers most often contains crews performing utility, construction, or municipal work. The lights are mounted on both the front and rear of the truck, and Ford says that they are visible from up to 1,000 feet away during the day. At night, their visibility jumps to somewhere around a mile.

If any given customer of the Ford F-Series Super Duty will, at one time or another, require warning lights to keep workers safe on the job site, why not have them factory installed? No drilling and fastening means less risk of body corrosion later on.
