Audi Prices Refreshed 2016 A6 And 2016 A7

Audi has announced prices for the freshened 2016 A6 sedan and 2016 A7 sportback for the the United States market, with the 2016 A6 carrying a starting price of $46,200 and the 2016 A7 starting at $68,300.

Both the 2016 A6 and 2016 A7 receive reworked front and rear fascias with a new version of Audi’s single frame grille and new headlights with different daytime running light elements. In addition to these cosmetic changes, the 2016 A6 receives a new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 252 horsepower, 32 more than the outgoing 2.0-liter. The new boosted four-banger is mated to Audi’s seven speed dual-clutch S Tronic transmission rather than a CVT, as with the outgoing model.

Powered by the 2.0-liter turbo-charged I4 mated to a seven-speed S Tronic gearbox, the front-wheel drive A6 returns 24 MPG city and 35 MPG highway. Mating the same engine with Quattro all-wheel-drive, which replaces the seven-speed dual clutch for a “normal” eight-speed automatic from ZF, returns 22 MPG city and 32 highway. Meanwhile, the most efficient A7 is the model with the 3.0-liter V6 and Quattro, which boasts an output of 333 horsepower and fuel economy of 20 MPG city and 30 MPG highway.

Other new features on the 2016 A6 and 2016 A7 include a new version of Audi’s MMI infotainment system with updated hardware and software, 4G LTE, Siri Eyes Free and more.
