Ford Says ‘Zài Jiàn’ To The Year Of The Horse, Welcomes The Beginning Of The Ford Mustang: Video

Ford’s launch of the all-new 2015 Mustang coincided well with the Chinese New Year. And since the period from January 31, 2014 thru February 18, 2015 was the year of the horse, The Blue Oval didn’t miss a beat to say zài jiàn (Chinese for goodbye) with a proper send off featuring Vaughn Gittin Jr.

The video has Gittin Jr. working the 2015 Ford Mustang in Ordos, Inner Mongolia. Through nifty camera work, we get a great look at some entertaining footage showing what the Mustang is capable of. The new pony car has launched to much critical acclaim, with praise coming from nearly every media outlet. Notably, the 2015 Mustang is now a globally-available vehicle ditches the long-standing solid rear-axle in favor of an advanced independent rear suspension while introducing a new motor to the lineup — the turbo-charged EcoBoost four-banger that produces more torque than the Mustang’s naturally-aspirated base 3.7-liter V6. But despite the introduction of the new boosted four, the video shows Gittin Jr. giving the 5.0-liter Coyote V8-powered 2015 Mustang GT quite the workout. So watch for yourself and enjoy.
