Lamborghini Aventador SV To Be Limited To Just 600 Units

There’s not many people in the world who climb behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Aventador and wish it was just a bit faster and bit more hardcore. These car enthusiasts of questionable sanity do exist, however, and for them, there’s the Aventador LP-750-4 Superveloce.

Because the amount of people chasing after Lamborghini’s Aventador SV will be fairly limited, production will be restricted to just 600 units. The Sant’Agata- based automaker made the announcement in regards to its newest supercar at the Shanghai auto show earlier this week, as part of the model’s Asian introduction.

The Aventador SV offers up 750 horsepower from its 6.5-liter V12 engine, 50 more than standard versions of the supercar. The automaker also shaved 110 pounds from the Aventador’s kerb weight in moving to the SV by using more carbon fiber in its construction and using less sound deadening materials.

Customers interested in the Aventador SV can expect to pay $489,000 for the limited-edition Lambo, $100,000 more than a standard Aventador. Orders for the car are open now, and deliveries are expected to commence this summer.
