Lucky Fan Gets To Drive A Porsche 918 Spyder 622 Miles Through The UK

Porsche just recently achieved a rather tremendous feat with regard to its social media presence, surpassing a staggering 10 million Facebook fans to its official page.

To celebrate, the German marque held a contest for all of its fans. The prize to be won? A 622-mile road trip through the UK in a Porsche 918 Spyder.

That contest has since ended, and Austria’s Ingo Vandenberghe was the lucky fan. He just completed his leisure tour of the United Kingdoms in the spectacular Porsche 918 Spyder supercar, according to website InsideEVs, and at every stop, Porsche owners and fans alike were invited to come and sign their names to the hybrid sportscar’s body.

Two other hybrids accompanied the Porsche 918 Spyder on its promotional tour of the UK – the Cayenne S E-Hybrid, and the Panamera S E-Hybrid. But of course, the 918 was the real star. Mr. Vandenberghe was fortunate enough to visit some truly awesome destinations along the way, including Windsor Castle, the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone, and the Porsche Club of Great Britain HQ in Moreton-in-the-Marsh.
