Meet The People Responsible For The 2017 Ford GT And 2016 Focus RS

There is no doubt that the new 2016 Ford Focus RSFord GT, Mustang Shelby GT350R, and F-150 Raptor are some of the most exciting products Ford has created since, well, the last-generation Ford Focus RS and Ford GT. Before the GT and Focus RS officially hit the street, Ford has decided to assemble the team responsible for their creation to shed more light on some of the details and specs that are yet to be released.

It’s not everyday you see former F1 & Le Mans driver Johnny Herbert lobbing questions at Ford execs, which makes it a pretty captivating video, especially from an OEM. You’ll hear some pretty interesting tidbits from Raj Nair, Group Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Global Product Development, about how the GT was kept secret from nearly everybody within Ford and the lengths the company went to in order to keep it under wraps until the covers were yanked off at NAIAS. Jorgen Gagstatter, Chief Programme Engineer Ford Focus RS, meanwhile, describes how the new RS will be “much more exhilarating and a fun to drive car” than the model it replaces.

It’s a great video and we can pretty much guarantee that, like us, you’ll walk away with a few extra kernels of need-to-know information about the GT and the RS. So grab your favorite drink, and enjoy.
