Tesla P85D, Dodge Charger Hellcat Duke It Out With Motor Trend: Video

Believe it or not, but not only is the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat the fastest sedan in the world – as in it is capable of the greatest top speed – but the Tesla Model S P85D is actually the quickest sedan in the world, sprinting from 0 to 60 in just 3.2 seconds. That’s two production sedan performance records, both held by American firms.

Yes, it is a good time to be American.

But of course, America has always had a bit of a cultural obsession with rogues, renegades, and to put it bluntly, “badasses.” That’s why Motor Trend took both the Tesla P85D and the Dodge Charger Hellcat out on the road, in order to determine which is the more “badass” proposition: the silent quickness of the Tesla P85D, or the loud speed of the Hellcat-powered Charger.

We won’t do you the disservice of spoiling the winner before you’ve had a chance to watch this episode of Motor Trend‘s Head 2 Head, but we will say this much; whether you’re tearing up the ozone with the gas-guzzling, 707 HP Dodge Charger Hellcat, or preserving it with the electric, 691 HP Tesla P85D, both cars are equally awesome while polar opposites in their respective approaches to delivering the most tremendous adrenaline spike that money can buy.
